Great New Wave song but I was always disappointed that the girl singing it looked like Rosie O'Donnell. Kind of ominous how she says "never say never" to the idea of us sleeping together
Isaw this band when I was pretty young, and got there early enough for sound check. The Rosie O'Donnell chick warmed up with a classic tune...something like a hymn or a Cole Porter, I can't remember. But I do remember she had this powerful and beautiful singing voice. And she wasn't using it at all for her pop performances.
I learned later that it was true for many working musicians...they're capable of so much more than audiences want to hear.
Only the most awesome music video show ever! It ran on channel 12 in Denver for almost 20 years and started BEFORE MTV! It turned on thousands of disaffected Colorado youth all kinds of alternative rock! Everything from Peter Gabriel to Front 242 to Public Enemy.
Watching Teletunes was an integral part of the Colorado Generation X experience, along with Casa Bonita, The Warlock Pinchers, listening to KTCL before they were bought and ruined forever by Clear Channel, Blinky's Fun Club, making fun of Jake Jabbs commercials, etc.
This blog hopes to capture the thrills of watching teletunes back in the day with plenty of videos found off youtube and other hosting sites. Please feel free to contact us with anything you think should be on here!
I forgot about these guys!

That's what Romeo Void reminds me of.
